GUARDIANS

It all begins in the sky.

Created by the Goddess Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt and Wild Animals. The Guardians were created to look, act, speak, and walk like humans. Although they are far from it. Servants to the Goddess herself, they protect the Human race. To kill the Fallen who tend to cause chaos and balance out the scales of good and evil. This race is one of business first and play second, the first Guardian to ever be made is Kaden.

The Guardians were created from people that were wrongfully killed, such as being killed in cold blood or tortured to death. Should the Goddess deem your murder wrong or unjust then she makes you a deal. You can come back from the dead with one vengeful act on those who wronged you. But once the act is done you must forever serve her in protecting the human race from the Fallen that wreck havoc on the world. Should you accept she will take your soul from you, leaving a mark on your skin where she touched you of her seal. A bow and two arrows. This seal can be anywhere on the skin. Once the soul is taken it is then placed in a stone, a stone so hot it sears the skin if touched by a mortal or even a Guardian. Although if you are wondering why the soul is taken in the first place it’s to make you immortal. Also it’s to keep the demons from taking your soul or you selling it off. You will look the age that you died and you will stay that way for the rest of eternity.

Now you can retrieve your soul, but only by the hands of true love. Should you find someone that wishes to be yours for the rest of their lives and you don’t wish to watch them die. Both of you can always come to Kaden, he shall go and plead for your soul for the Goddess. (Note: Do not ask how he gets your soul back, he will take it back to the Goddess.) But should he get your soul, you will have to be drained of your energy, brought to the brink of death, and then the stone be placed on your mark. If the stone is not placed in time or is dropped by the mortal, you will then turn into a Shade. Forced to walk in Limbo for the rest of eternity. So be choosy in who you choose to give your soul back.

Once made into a Guardian you shall receive a pair of wings, fangs, and strength. You will also get quick healing and heightened senses. Your only downfall, is that you CANNOT be touched by light. You will BURN. Should you get out of the light fast enough then you may just get away with what feels like a severe sunburn. Another thing about Guardians is that no sickness can overcome their body, although they can be poisoned should their energy be spent. They can’t carry any diseases. One last thing, Guardians are sterile, so no babies from this race.

FALLEN

The original was first brought forth when the seven rings threatened to collide together and bring forth the first catastrophe within the known universe. More so an entity with an insatiable desire to bring in the darkness from whence it came, creating two others from different components, the entity now had two to bare arms with. Greed, animosity, drove these three to raise havoc upon the Earth. Growing their army over a vast array of species, most long since eradicated, picking what was their favored of the pluck. With control over the land falling further into the fray of the Fallen, Artemis had enough and brought her own pawn piece on the board. With the existence of her first created Guardian, the entity and the two at their side lost forces. Dwindling slowly, it brought attention by another who lurked in the shadows cast by the entity. Serilda, one of the first spawn of the entity and a woman with enough craving for destruction that her wits aided her in conquest.

HUMANS

Do you wish to be a "normal" human?

Humans here are just like any other humans. They have normal jobs and families. Rather some wish to be Doctors, lawyers, EMTs, or any other job is up to them. It is present day here so all the technology is here. But some humans in this normal world are anything but normal. Those that have special abilities, that are highly developed, can see the Guardians auras. Giving a small tell tell sign that they are different. These humans are mediums, they are connected to the Spirit world. Some mediums even help the Guardians in a mission or when they need to speak to the dead.

Another side of humans here is that some of them are entered into a sort of Secret Service. This service helps the Guardians with daily errands, but since the Guardians can’t go out in light and sleep during the day, the Consort does these daily things. Such as taking weapons to other Consorts that work in specifics of weapons. Going to gather supplies for them. Or should the Guardian have a specific task the Consort follows through. So basically these humans help the Guardians and do as they are told. Although, they don’t do it for nothing, they get paid very handsomely for their duties. Many families that are in the Consort part have been apart of it for generations. They are given strict guidelines to follow, such as keeping the Guardians a secret and keeping the Guardian they serve happy. Breaking any of the rules can result in punishment by the Concort Headquarters and the Guardians have no say in their punishments. So whatever the HQ decides is it. If your crime is severely bad, sometimes Consorts are eradicated.
