Origins
Demons here in Deviant are pretty generic. Each demon that comes from Hell belongs from one of the nine circles. Each demon has a ‘sin’, meaning that a demon will do what their circle is geared towards. A Lust demon will do anything to create lust. Demons feed off of others creating their ‘sin’, example, a lust demon will feed off of another's lustful sins.
Demon to Demon
This one is rather self-explanatory, this is the offspring of two demons already made. Depending on the status and power of the demons will depend on the gained power of the offspring. If the parents are Thralls then the offspring will be as well, if the parents are of higher power so will the offspring be.
Human to Demon
For a human to become a demon they must give up their life. To have died first and then come to hell and be drained of all humanity and sanity. The soul will be tortured and their mind left into shambles. The soul will be stained with a demon mark. Humans that become demons will be Thalls unless graduated to a higher stature by the Rulers of Hell.
Angel to Demon
For an angel to become a demon one must fall from grace first. If this step is skipped it will only make the angel sick by poison, depending on the angel’s power and strength this could possibly kill the angel. Once the angel has fallen from grace it can ingest the demon’s blood with the possibility of becoming addicted. If an angel drinks too much of the blood it can corrupt the fallen angel and slowly turn its true form into that of a demon of it’s “sin”.
Hell
The first thing to know about Hell is that we are based on Dante's Inferno Hell. Hell has nine circles instead of seven. Each circle is run by a Throne Holder which has been hand selected by the Queens to sit in control of their circle. Throne Holders, or Generals, are selected by their trustworthiness, only those who have proven themselves in the takeover of Hell and stayed loyal to the Queens are selected.
These circles are:
Limbo - First circle
Lust - Second circle | Asmodia Rules
Gluttony - Third circle
Greed - Fourth circle
Anger - Fifth circle | Lyssa Rules
Heresy - Sixth circle
Violence - Seventh circle
Fraud - Eighth circle

Powers
You may pick from the powers list, please be sure to think of your weaknesses and limits for those that you pick. Look at the Applications list for your allowed powers. Of course, you may also come up with your own powers, make sure to make these have weaknesses too.
Limbo Lordship - The ability to pull souls from Limbo and return them to Earth for a temporary amount of time.

Soul Branding - a mark that shows up on a soul’s chest once they have died that matches a specific demon's mark, only the demon whose mark is on the soul can collect it. If the demon has a marked hellhound the hound can collect for the demon.
Name of Power - each demon has a name they speak to no one, this name is a Name of Power, meaning if another knows the secret name and how to say it correctly they can summon said being. Be stingy with this name.
Weakness
Even demons have weaknesses, some a bit harder to find than others. Please also be sure to look at the limitations of each sin.
Devil traps, these traps are drawn, burnt, or put into play with salt. If caught in one of these traps they can only be released from the trap by an outside force.
Salt, yes salt. Salt can be used for protection. Demons or spirits cannot pass over salt lines, rather it is to get into or out of a place. Saltwater can be used as well, but this will only irritate the skin unless the water is blessed.
Blessed water can severely burn a demon.
Seraph blades and blessed bullets can KILL a demon.
Also note, as a demon if you stay too far away from Hell itself or a Hell energized source, like Sanctuary, you run the risk of becoming rather weak. Of course, this weakness does not take effect immediately, but over time. Lesser demons can stay away for as long as three months, while hierarchy demons can stay away for longer. Trinkets made within Hell forged out of Cursed Metal can be used as an energized source to be able to stay away from Hell for longer periods of time. Trinkets such as a ring or necklace for example.
Take note, that just because someone doesn't have anything blessed, doesn't mean they can't cause harm. Magic used against a demon in the form of attack or combat magic can be just as lethal. Of course attacks from other supernatural beings can also hurt.
Backstory
Hell once belonged to Lucifer, the first fallen angel turned demon. His reign was dealt with a heavy hand. Lucifer had trusted demons to hold thrones in circles for him, all while he resided in the last circle known as Treachery. Trapped in ice, Lucifer cannot patrol his domain as a material body. For many centuries the circles were undisturbed and no new rulers rose up, that was, until a set of twin demons was born.
Asmodia and Lyssa were a set of fraternal twins born to unknown parents. The only thing they did know was that they were both succubi. Born and raised in the circle of Lust the sisters rose to be Upper-Class demons. The twins becoming heads over small departments of torture demons and some Crossroad demons. Soon Lyssa was married and with a child of her own, but that happiness was short-lived. The throne holder of Anger took her husband and child away from her in a fit of rage and murdered them. Lyssa soon after took over the circle of anger and it became her home. Asmodia had her sights set on Lust. Having slowly grown her army to take it over. Demons who had the same mindset as her followed her into battle. Her beloved Hellhounds, Hexus, leading a small band of misfitted male hellhounds that were cast out by her side. After a grueling battle with the current ruler’s army and the final beheading of the ruler, Asmodia had claimed the throne of lust.
For a long while, the twins were content with their roles but soon they wanted more. So Asmodia hatched a plan to take over the other circles with her sister. Commanding her army to march onto the others, Lyssa at her side. Together the twins took over the other circles one by one, beheading the rulers together to split the powers. Once the final circle was overthrown, a new form was granted to them, a form known as the Queen of Nines. This form gave them the ability to use all the powers of each circle. Their eyes in this form would form a pentagram that would change colors.
Even though the twins had defeated the other rulers, there was still the matter of Lucifer. Standing before the current king of hell, the sisters were moments from killing him, until something clicked. They realized that should either of them actually strike him down, they would take his place. Defeating the purpose of their overthrow. Now, the sisters are stuck as they try to find a way to bring him down without taking his place in the ice of Treachery.
(A character that becomes Lucifer will become unplayable, just as he is.)
