You will notice that there is a ☆ before every rule. Rules marked with two stars, you will get one warning before being removed from the server or site. Rules marked with 3 stars will result in immediate banning.

☆ There are several places you can roleplay in the Deviant world. We have some roleplay channels here on the site. You can also roleplay on the server, as well as private 1x1 servers and DMs. Whatever your flavor is, go for it!
☆ Leave all talk of religion and politics in DM's. Sometimes, without meaning to, you can offend and upset someone. So, we've come to the decision, no politics or religion needs to be discussed in on the server or site. This is the one and only warning you will get. We cannot control what happens in your DMs. If someone is harassing you, block them. If they start harassing you inside the server, or on the site, report it to a staff member.
☆ If you wish to join someone's story/plot, please read the posts and see what is going on in the storyline at the time you wish to join or ask someone if you don't know. They have the right to deny you since it is their story/plot.
☆ Leave any and all moderating to current staff members. If you see someone breaking a rule, please use the appropriate methods to notify the staff. We will investigate the issue. (For example, on the post, click the icon in the top right corner of the post that looks like an exclamation point (!) to report the post.)
☆ For the server only: If you will be gone for an extended period of time, let us know so we can give you the Hiatus Role. You can stay in hiatus status for thirty days. If you are going to be on hiatus status longer than that please inform a staff member. If we are not kept in the loop, you will be kicked for inactivity. When/If you are ready to come back, we will welcome you with open arms. We do understand that life happens and unforeseen circumstances arise.
☆☆ If you are going to cause a disturbance (or disrupt the fluidity of the chat) in the server or on the site, you will only receive ONE warning. This goes for the server and the site. This rule applies to all members, including staff. ☆☆
☆☆ You can post selfies in the pictures channel but anything NOT SAFE FOR WORK (including revealing pictures of oneself) it must be posted in the designated NSFW channel. We ask that you do NOT post nudes of yourself. You will only receive ONE warning for this. ☆☆
☆☆☆If any member of the staff suspects you are underage, they will report it to an Admin. An Admin will contact the user for age verification. Failure to do so within 24 hours will result in an immediate ban. This is non-negotiable. ☆☆☆

☆ To promote to Ascended Status and be accepted to roleplay, you must submit a Character Application. This application will be looked over by the two head admins for approval. Once approved you will be promoted.
☆ If your character does not fit, it is not an offense to be taken personally. The staff is here to help not bully or boss, but if something is wrong with your character we will come to you to address it.
Ω You must use the Basic Profile Sheet for your character submission. (Just make a copy of the Google Doc Provided and you will be able to fill in the blanks.) Everything must be filled out. If you need help, please let us know in the Character Help channel! We will help you as quickly as possible.
Ω We will not accept any partial applications.
Ω There are a very limited number of some rankings. If you wish to play a Tier 5 character, DM @vixaria or standingontheedge

 ☆☆ No rape scenes. This can be a trigger to some people and it won’t be tolerated here.
☆☆ No children in sexual settings.
☆☆ No true bestiality, but animals and mythical beings that can give consent to sexual acts are allowed.
☆ No powergaming, or making your character untouchable.
☆ No godmodding, or making another's character do as you want.
☆ No metagaming, or having your character know something about a subject or another character that they would have absolutely no way of knowing without learning it from somewhere first.
☆ No rhinohiding, or having a character that refuses to take a hit at all.
☆ No autohitting, or instantly dictate your hit and also its effect on the player, they must be allowed to alter the outcome.
☆ Tag those who you are addressing in your post. This keeps the confusion down.
☆ You may move and play the NPCs at your will or as needed. |

 Refer to The Insider's Guide to Deviant for the races and lore we provide.
☆ READ the lore that has been provided for you. They have worked hard on the guidelines for you.
☆ Make sure your character fits within the lore guidelines that have been given to you. If it doesn’t and you need help, ask. Please see an Admin or Mod.
☆ If you play an Angel, Demon, or one of the 3 Fae races we provide, your character must fit inside of the provided lore. If you want something and you don't see it inside the document, you must ask.
